CONSTRUCTION OF A SOLAR POWER PLANT FOR THE PRODUCTION OF GREEN ELECTRICITY

The installation works of the solar power plant of AS "Olaine Chemical Plant BIOLARS" have been completed.
The aim of the project is to continue investing in the sustainable development of the company by developing the use of green energy in the company’s energy supply.
The total area of the solar panel park is 2,500 m2, on which 1,125 solar panels are installed. The total capacity of the solar power plant is 0.45 MW, which will provide an average of 10% of the company’s total annual electricity consumption and up to 25% in the summer period.
Thanks to the solar park, the company will be able to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 50,000 t CO2 per year, as well as reduce the consumption of fossil energy resources and more widely use green energy solutions/opportunities.
In 2025, BIOLAR plans to build and commission the second stage of the solar power plant with a capacity of 0.55 MW.
