The installation works of the solar power plant of AS Olaine Chemical Plant BIOLARS have been completed.
The total capacity of the solar power plant is 0.45 MWh, which will provide an average of 10% of the company’s total annual electricity consumption and up to 25% in the summer period.
Thanks to the solar power plant park, the company will be able to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 50,000 t CO2 per year, as well as reduce the consumption of fossil energy resources and make wider use of green energy solutions/opportunities.
In 2025, BIOLAR plans to build and commission the second stage of the installation of a solar power plant with a capacity of 0.55 MWh.
